The diploma is for 3 years at Polytechnic College. Nowadays there are many diploma colleges in west Bengal. The Govt. and the Private are both. A student can choose any of the govt. And a private college is easy and takes admission. There is a must if you want to be admitted to the govt. In college you must have a good range in the jexpo exam. The B.tech or B.E is the 4 years course in Degree Engineering College. Nowadays there are many Govt. Engineering and Private Engineering College in West Bengal. If you want to take admission in a B Tech College you must have passed 10+2 in the science category and you are eligible for the joint entrance exam. Then you can apply for B.tech college as per your joint rank.
